Consultant Ophthalmologist
Dr. Ranu’s interests are phacoemulsification, small incision cataract surgery, pediatric ophthalmology and anterior segment surgery. He worked in the pediatric ophthalmology unit of Hospital Kuala Lumpur and he was actively involved in managing children with ocular problems besides practising comprehensive ophthalmology.
He oversaw training junior specialists and medical officers and coaching them in newer surgical techniques in cataract surgery, especially phacoemulsification under topical anaesthesia and anterior segment surgeries.
His 25 years of experience in ophthalmology and cataract surgery in different parts of the country has given him the opportunity to treat a wide variety of ocular diseases and gain experience. He has been fortunate in acquiring microsurgical skills earlier in his training.
Dr Ranu has been in private practice in Puchong since 2004. It is a well-equipped growing practice specializing in Modern Day Care Cataract Surgery. He provides comprehensive ophthalmology services to the local community and aids the needy and deserving patients. Spending his own funds and sacrificing his time Dr Ranu has been screening and treating the underprivileged from the very start.
He takes pride in performing complex cataract surgeries such as cataract surgeries in extremely long or short eyes, pediatric cataracts, small pupil cataract surgery, post vitrectomised eyes, traumatic cataracts requiring implantation of artificial iris or repair of the anterior segment.
He has been implanting multifocal intra ocular lenses since 2002. He performs phakic intra ocular lenses for the correction of high myopia. He has performed various laser refractive procedures such as LASIK, LASEK, Epi-Lasik and Bioptics. He continues to attend major scientific meetings and surgical skill workshops to further improve his skills and bring optimal surgical outcomes for his patients.

Dr. Lim Ju Lin
Dr. Lim Ju Lin graduated from Kasturba Medical College with first class honours in 1995. She completed her internship in Penang General Hospital. She has worked in Government Hospitals in Perak, Selangor and Kuala Lumpur. Dr. Lim has been in general practice since year 1999 and has been serving the community in and around Puchong for the past 17 years.
Dr. Lim works hand in hand with Dr. Ranu to provide pre-operative screening of patients undergoing ocular surgery. She also assists in diagnosing, treating and monitoring medical problems.
