What To Expect Before Your Cataract Procedure :-
- Please instill the antibiotic eyedrop 3 days before the procedure date.
- Please arrive as schedule for your procedure. If you need to reschedule your procedure due to unforeseen circumstances i.e not feeling well, eye redness etc, please call us at least 2 days in advance
- You may eat a light meal prior to the procedure. There are no restrictions on food or medication before and after procedure. Please consult the doctor if you are on any medications to prevent any contraindications.
- You will need to arrange for someone to drive you on the procedure day.
- Do not use any makeup, cream or powder on your face on the day of your procedure. Please have a bath and hairwash prior to coming for surgery.
- Your procedure would have been explained to you and you will be asked to sign a consent form on the procedure day.
- Wear comfortable warm clothing. Ladies may prefer to wear slacks. You will not be required to change out of your clothes.
- We prefer to receive full payment before the procedure day, so that you don’t have to worry over payment on the procedure day.
- Due to unforeseen circumstances, your surgery may be delayed. Your patience and understanding in this matter is appreciated. We will do our best to ensure that any delay is kept to the minimal. Do expect to be at the centre for at least 1-2 hours.
- You are required to return on the 1st, 7th post-op day and 1 month later for a post-operative check or as specified by your surgeon.
- Please bring along a pair of sunglasses for you to put on before leaving the Centre.
